What happened when my husband and I did the Census

My husband Adam brought the mail in last week, saying “the Census is here”. 

“Great, we’ll do it next week!”, I said. I went back to working, filing that information away in my mind. 

Two days later, he said “I’ve done the Census”. 

“You what?” I asked him, frowning a lot.

He might as well have bought a house without consulting me. Or seen Savage Garden reform without me. That’s how big a deal this was to me.

While the questions on the census might not be interesting, the data collected is so interesting — important for future funding, infrastructure creation, housing, education and employment.
